Project background
With a total investment of 6 billion yuan, the Zhangbei data center of Alibaba data port is one of the important bases for Alibaba to deploy large-scale cloud computing service infrastructure in Zhangbei. After completion, it will serve the cloud computing industry in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
Alibaba North cloud base project is implemented by Alibaba group, with a total investment of 20 billion yuan, covering an area of 630 Mu and accommodating 300000 servers. Its construction layout adopts "one point, three centers", one demonstration site, namely Ali demonstration site; Three mutual backup data centers, including Alibaba Zhangbei Yunlian data center, Alibaba Zhangbei data port data center and Alibaba Zhongdu grassland data center. At present, in addition to the completion of the main computer room and office building of alizhangbei Yunlian data center, alizhangbei data port data center has started construction and is in rapid progress.
There are an average of 100 lightning strikes per second on the whole earth. The statistical data of a large number of lightning accidents show that lightning strikes have obvious selectivity. The objects that are more likely to be struck by lightning include tall and prominent buildings, objects that are easy to conduct electricity, wet areas and ground that are easy to conduct electricity, etc.
Lightning will not only damage the system equipment, more importantly, it will bring great harm to the data security. Due to the data loss caused by communication interruption, the indirect loss is immeasurable.
